Some news from Charlotte Thompson and the Classic Security Team:

Just to up date you on how the Classic Security Team are getting on:

Area 16 - Joshua Thompson won the RI Nursery Stakes on Keltic Print, and gained his first ever RI WHP ticket.

James Phillips had flown in from Ireland, he won and went champion on The Powder Puff in the Cradle Stakes.

We have Amy O’Brian who arrived with her IntWHP Boris (Peeping Tom), staying with us for the summer as part of her college course.  Amy won the open IntWHP and went champion, and finished 2nd in the RI IntWHP.

Area 7 - Joshua Thompson won on Oasthill Ginseng in the RI Nursery Stakes. We didn’t think things could get any better when he won and went champion in the RI 133 WHP with Keltic Print

South Suffolk - Amy and Peeping Tom won their RI class at South Suffolk on Sunday 10th April, so have secured their RI ticket, this will be the first year at the RI for this partnership. Lots of tears were had from Amy’s Dad and Mum who were in Ireland when they received the phone call.

Hannah Phillips flew over from Ireland on Saturday to ride Pablo in the 143 WHP at South Suffolk. She won and qualified for the RI. Back to reality for the Phillips as they left the house on Monday morning at around 4am so that they were not late for school!!!

One last thing the kids could not have got their tickets without the help of our driver AKA Grampy, and Prue who seems to have developed the skill of being in five places at once!!!

Wow  wow  wow….Some amazing results from HOYS!

Rebecca Harvey and Rhos Emblem (below right) won the 148cm SP class and went on to stand Pony of the Year.  Owned by John Harvey and Sue Brewis, this is an amazing achievement for the 4 year old in his debut season.

Martin Skelton riding Hazel Broom’s, Paschal High Flyer (below left) made it a double for Team Harvey winning the Large Int SRT and taking the Intermediate championship.  Achieving 59/60 for their show, the result couldn’t have been more perfect for Martin who was having his last ride in Intermediate classes.

Teams Harvey’s other entries were also placed well:
Brogan Taverner and Fanville David were 4th in the Coloureds
Sophie Harvey and Ekins Fifer were 5th in the M&M Lead Rein
Greer Taverner and Pennal Calon Mai were 8th in the M&M Welsh C/Ds
Rebecca Harvey and Barkway Honeybear were 8th in the 122cm SHP
Greer Taverner and High Fidelity were 9th in the Small Int SRT

Olivia Hayman riding Westerby Firelight stood 2nd in the 133cm SHP - a wonderful result for this pair who are in their debut season together.

Henrietta Windsor-Phillips and Dykebeck Wild Foxglove also competed in the 133cm SHP class and were placed 4th.  This duo have had an excellent season together, notching up championships at Mid-Herts Spring, Lincolnshire Spring, Midland Counties and the BSPS Summer Champs to name a few. 

Lizzie Smith and Wescoe Regal Charm continued their form in the 138cm SP class standing 2nd. 

Chloe Willett riding Mrs A Davis’, Colbeach Elegance, were 7th in  the 138cm SP.  

Sara Parrott, riding Miss Wheeler’s, Winchester D, were 2nd in the Coloureds.  This 5 year old has already picked up his ticket for the RIHS 2009, winning at Bucks County.

Mia Harrison and her new SP, Moluccas Saffron Surprise were 3rd in the 128cm class, whilst with her Mid-Herts Supreme Champion, Foxtrot Gemma,  she stood 8th in the M&M First Ridden. 

Josh Thompson and Llanai Galaxy were 8th in the M&M WHP not exc 122cm.

Elle Kivlochan was 10th in the M&M Large Breeds with her Connemara, Braemar Be Lucky, then went one better to stand 9th in the 148cm SP on Roseview Limited Edition.

Well done to all members who qualified and competed at the RIHS.  Area 15a had some excellent results:

Greer Taverner riding Clare Smlley’s Welsh D, Pennal Calon Mai, won the M&M large breeds and took the championship.  They then went on to stand 3rd overall supreme pony. 

Henrietta Windsor-Phillips and Millpond Look at Me (pictured right) won the small plaited coloureds and went reserve champion.  Henrietta also rode her 12.2, Deanhils Sweet Rhapsody, to stand 4th in their SP class and 5th in the part bred arabs.

Michelle Prentice riding Mrs Burrows’ Secret Weapon won the small native/traditional section of the coloureds.

Sam Dent won the int show hunter type with Bentley VIII.

Charlotte Dent was 2nd and reserve champion in the small part bred arabs with Kelsborrow Henrietta, whilst Katie Davis was 2nd in the large section with Jan Reed’s, Kingsford Silver Spray.
